Timber as a sustainable building material

Sustainability

At Korlam, sustainability is not a mere label but a conscious choice that is part of how we design, produce, and build. As a specialist in glued timber constructions, we are working with a renewable material on a daily basis, known for its strength, durability, and ecological performance. This way, we actively contribute to forward-thinking buildings that are technically sound and limit their environmental impact.

Sustainable building material

Timber is one of the best performing materials in sustainable construction. It is renewable, stores CO₂, and allows for the creation of strong constructions with a lower environmental impact than traditional building methods. By working with glued laminated timber, cross-laminated timber and innovative systems such as Kielsteg, we combine structural performance with material efficiency. Our constructions are designed for a long lifespan, removability and future reuse, and are built today to remain relevant tomorrow.

People, partners and long-term relationships

For Korlam, sustainable entrepreneurship also means investing in people and partnerships. We work with fixed teams, reliable partners, and we communicate in clear language. This stability translates into quality execution, safe working conditions, and long-term relationships with clients and construction partners.

We believe that sustainable buildings are only possible when the collaboration is equally sustainable.
