Korlam continues to invest!
We are proud to announce that, less than one year after being acquired by VT-Invest Construction Group, we have reached another important milestone: our glulam assembly line is now fully automated.
For more than six decades, glued timber boards were manually tilted into position to form a composite truss.
During the past summer shutdown, the old installation was completely dismantled and replaced by a fully automated, custom-built tilting machine developed in-house, capable of assembling trusses of up to 47 metres in length.
A special word of thanks to our technicians for their tremendous commitment, dedication and hard work during the summer shutdown.
With this automation, we are creating additional production capacity while giving our employees more room to focus on where they truly make a difference: craftsmanship, expertise and quality.
Because this investment is not just about machinery. Above all, it is an investment in our people. By automating repetitive and physically demanding tasks, we are creating a safer and more ergonomic working environment.
This allows our skilled professionals to put their energy and expertise where they can have the greatest impact.
Technology strengthens craftsmanship.
Craftsmanship makes the difference.
And at Korlam, we continue to invest in both.
